The tenth, anniversary plein air Painted Irpin named after Volodymyr Sydoruk has ended in Irpin. Over an art week, 54 artists from all over Ukraine created 101 works.

This was reported by acting mayor Anzhela Makeieva.

The idea came from Honoured Artist of Ukraine Kostiantyn Mohylevskyi, and the first Painted Irpin took place in 2017. Since then the event has brought together artists from across the country every year.

Over ten years the participants have created hundreds of paintings. They show Irpin green and peaceful, scarred by war and rebuilding. Many of the canvases are kept in the collection of the town’s local history museum.

As a reminder, in September the museum presented a catalogue of the ninth plein air, which brought together 49 artists.
