It will now be possible to confirm pension service even without a work record book or the necessary entries in it. The government has adopted the decision, which also applies to residents of Bucha district who lost their documents.

This was announced by Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi. The decision matters most for people who lost documents because of fighting or occupation.

Service will first be confirmed using data from state electronic registers. If there is no such data, the work record book and other documents, now from a wider list, will be taken into account.

If there are no documents or they have not survived, service can be confirmed by the testimony of at least two witnesses who worked with the person. The Pension Fund will help find such people.

A separate procedure applies to people who worked at enterprises in temporarily occupied territories or combat zones, and to those whose documents were destroyed by the war.

As a reminder, we explained whether years of undeclared work count towards a pension.
