Almost 1,900 pupils of the Hostomel Academic Lyceum have lunch in the school canteen every day and can choose dishes to their taste. Meals are organised so that children do not go hungry even during air raid alerts.
This was reported by the Kyiv Regional Military Administration. The changes are part of the school meals reform initiated by First Lady Olena Zelenska.
The menu is published in advance on the lyceum’s Telegram channel, so pupils and parents know what will be served. The school listens to feedback from families and to the children’s own wishes.
For long air raid alerts there is a special menu, and meals are delivered to the shelter so that the usual daily routine is not disrupted.
As a reminder, new books arrived in the school libraries of Myrotske and Syniak.
