Three volunteers of the Voluntary Territorial Defence Unit No. 1 of the Bucha community have been awarded commemorative badges of the Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force. The awards were presented to mark Territorial Defence Day.

This was reported by the Bucha News newspaper. The awards went to members of the mobile fire group Olha Zubkova, Serhii Kaminskyi and Bohdan Onchukov.

They were honoured for strengthening the country’s defence and for shooting down aerial targets over the community. The unit’s volunteers take part in countering enemy aerial targets.

The volunteers also received letters of thanks from Yaroslav Dobrianskyi, acting chair of the Kyiv Regional Council, awards from the Kyiv Regional State Administration and letters of thanks from Bucha mayor Anatolii Fedoruk.

Thank you to everyone who helps protect the sky over our community. I congratulate our volunteers on the well-deserved awards from the Air Force Commander for shooting down aerial targets.
