Kyiv region welcomed 473 newborns in September: 237 boys and 236 girls were born in the region’s health facilities. In August there were 448 babies.

This was reported by the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

Most babies were born at the Kyiv Regional Perinatal Centre, 92, including five sets of twins and one set of triplets. The Boryspil intensive care hospital delivered 79, and the Bila Tserkva maternity hospital 70, including one set of twins.

September at the maternity hospital where Bucha residents are born

From 1 to 30 September, 36 babies were born at the maternity hospital in Vorzel: 16 boys and 20 girls. That is five more than in August, when 31 babies were born there, according to the Irpin City Council.

The facility is called the Irpin Maternity Hospital, although it is located in Vorzel and has been operating since 1973. In 2025, 384 children were born there, 193 boys and 191 girls, Bucha City Council reported.

The hospital serves women from across the district. According to the city council, of the 409 babies born there in 2024, 104 were from Bucha and 21 from Vorzel, and 20–25% of mothers came from remote settlements of the Bucha district.

What next for a maternity unit in Bucha

Meanwhile, the Bucha community is preparing a project for a new multi-profile hospital on Polova Street, which is planned to include a maternity unit.
