The government has kept the current preferential electricity tariffs for households, including residents of the Bucha area, for the 2026/27 heating season. The decision also covers homes with electric heating.
This was announced by Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi, the government portal reports.
Serhii KoretskyiPrime Minister of UkraineThis decision was made taking into account the current socio-economic situation in the country. It also applies to households with electric heating, for which the cost of electricity also remains unchanged
How much electricity will cost
The standard household price is currently 4.32 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour. Under government resolution No. 530 it was due to apply until 31 October 2026; now the current tariffs have been kept for the heating season.
For homes where electricity is the main source of heat, a preferential price of 2.64 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour applies from 1 October to 30 April for consumption of up to 2,000 kWh a month. Anything above that is charged at the standard price.
The benefit applies to houses and flats with electric heating, as well as apartment blocks not connected to gas or to central or autonomous heating.
What about gas
Earlier, on 28 September, the government kept the current preferential gas prices for households and heat producers until the end of the heating season.
Going forward, the government promises to work on a better tariff system and fairer targeted support for those who really need it.
As a reminder, the government has launched the eOpora website with winter support programmes, including grants for homeowners’ associations in Kyiv region.
