The government has extended its programme of state support for installing backup power sources in apartment buildings. For Bucha district and the whole of Kyiv region it was already available.

This was announced by Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi. The programme will now also run in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava and Sumy regions.

Previously it was only available in Kyiv, Kyiv region and Kharkiv region. Besides widening its reach, the government has also improved the way it is implemented.

Applications on behalf of co-owners can be submitted by homeowner associations, apartment building managers and housing and service cooperatives.

The programme covers equipment that keeps lighting, water supply, heating, communications and lifts working during outages.

As a reminder, Vyshneve co-funds major repairs of buildings with homeowner associations.
