A district commission in Bucha District has approved four veterans’ applications for cash compensation in lieu of the housing they are entitled to. All the applicants are combat veterans with group I–II disabilities.

The Bucha District State Administration reported this.

The veterans are on the housing waiting lists of the Bilohorodka, Borodianka and Irpin communities. The applications were considered at the commission’s regular weekly meeting.

Who is entitled to the compensation

The compensation is paid under Cabinet resolution No. 719. It is available to combat veterans with group I–II disabilities and to the families of defenders who were killed, went missing or died of wounds, concussion or illness.

Families must not have received the one-off payment of 15 million hryvnias under resolution No. 168. Being on a housing waiting list is mandatory for everyone.

The amount is calculated with a formula that takes into account the size of the family, any housing already owned, disability, regional housing prices and paperwork costs.

To check the details or submit documents, apply where you are on the housing list: to the local veterans’ policy department or an administrative services centre (TsNAP). The district administration explained this.

As a reminder, in early October housing compensation was approved for two veterans from the Bucha community.
