Residents of Irpin whose homes were damaged by the 19 October missile strike had filed 361 applications for compensation under the eVidnovlennia programme as of 27 October. In seven days the commission has already carried out 245 inspections.
This was reported by Irpin Deputy Mayor Serhii Kaniura.
Next week the commission plans a meeting to approve the applications for which all the necessary documents have been prepared.
According to Kaniura, for many families the most important thing now is to repair their homes as quickly as possible, especially as the weather worsens and the cold approaches. That is why the commission is working at full stretch.
He asked residents to understand that inspections take time: every property has to be examined, the damage recorded and the results formalised.
“We have to do this not just quickly but properly, because further consideration of the application and receipt of compensation depend on it,” Serhii Kaniura stressed.
As a reminder, Irpin allocated UAH 8 million to people whose homes were damaged by the missile strike.
