The Bucha community is installing two more hybrid inverters with a combined capacity of 200 kW and 20 battery modules with a capacity of 153.6 kWh. This is how Bucha is strengthening its energy independence ahead of winter.
This was announced by Bucha Mayor Anatolii Fedoruk.
Solar plants at critical infrastructure facilities and at the community’s medical and educational institutions already produce an average of 18.3 MWh of electricity a month.
The community received the new equipment thanks to Swiss Solidarity, Helvetas Ukraine and the NGO DESPRO under the Strong Community project.
Solar generation falls in winter, so the focus now is on energy storage systems. The electricity reserve will help during outages and reduce the load on generators in the hardest periods of winter.
