Volodymyra Vernadskoho Street in Bucha is undergoing a major repair between the Bucha-Pasazh shopping centre and Zakhysnykiv Ukrainy Street. The road is closed for the duration of the works, so drivers should take this into account when planning their routes.

This was announced by Bucha Mayor Anatolii Fedoruk.

The city has also started building a new road: Polova Street will be linked to Chornykh Zaporozhtsiv Street across the site of the former Veda plant. According to the mayor, this will create a new transport link between two parts of the city.

Anatolii Fedoruk spoke about both projects in a video:

What is happening on Enerhetykiv Street

Meanwhile, on Enerhetykiv Street the general contractor, Avtomahistral-Zakhid LLC, has resumed the major repair, the Bucha City Council reported. The contractor had earlier suspended work because of staffing problems.

Crews are now levelling and compacting the ground and finishing the gravel and sand base. Between Bohdana Khmelnytskoho Boulevard and Polova Street a new pavement is first being laid on the left side, and only then will dismantling begin on the right, so pedestrians always have a way through.

On another section granite kerbstones are being installed. The biggest stage is already done: a new water main, domestic and storm sewers and power lines have been laid under the street.

As a reminder, in early October Bucha proposed terminating the contracts with the Enerhetykiv reconstruction contractor over delays.
