The general contractor reconstructing Enerhetykiv Street in Bucha has been offered to terminate its contracts over a material breach of obligations. The city council sent an official letter to Avtomahistral-Zakhid at the start of the week.

This was reported by Bucha Mayor Anatolii Fedoruk.

According to the mayor, the work is well behind schedule, and he understands the frustration of residents and businesses. That is why the city council is moving from warnings to concrete decisions.

The contractor attributes the delays to the cancellation of exemptions for its workers, staff shortages and disruptions in material supplies caused by russian strikes on factories. At the same time, the company insists that all the necessary materials have been ordered and is providing confirmation.

Another meeting with the contractors was held the day before. The council’s position is clear: either the contractor immediately speeds up the work, or the contracts are terminated by mutual consent.

If no agreement is reached, the community will defend its interests in court. At the same time, the council acknowledges that legal proceedings could significantly delay the completion of work on the town’s central street.

As a reminder, at the end of September the mayor of Bucha explained why the reconstruction of Enerhetykiv Street was delayed.
