A working meeting was held at the stadium to discuss the progress of the reconstruction and the next stages. Builders are currently working on several fronts at once: installing engineering networks — ventilation and plumbing, continuing interior finishing, landscaping the grounds and working on the covering of the stands.

Who attended the meeting

"On the instruction of the acting mayor and council secretary Anzhela Makeieva, together with the managers of the contractor Yaguar LLC and the deputy director of the Department of Regional Development Vasyl Kozachuk, we went through the current state of the works and the next stages of the project in detail," Serhii Kaniura said.

The installation of spectator seats will begin shortly — the stage after which the stands first look like a finished stadium rather than a concrete frame.

The shelter as part of the sports infrastructure

Particular attention at the meeting went to the construction of the shelter. The foundation pit has been poured, and work is under way on waterproofing, installing sheet piling and preparing the base for the concrete slab.

The city council calls this stage decisive for the reliability of the future structure: waterproofing and the base are what cannot be redone later without digging everything up again. For a stadium where hundreds of people gather at once, a shelter has ceased to be optional.

According to him, Chempion should become a place of strength, motivation and new victories for the whole Irpin community. No completion date was named at the meeting.
