The MISTO app used by residents of the Bucha community may incorrectly detect the start and end of air raid alerts. Notifications may also arrive with a delay.
Bucha City Council reported this.
The council asks residents to follow air raid alerts through other official channels and not to rely solely on notifications in the app. When an alert is declared, people should go to the nearest shelter straight away.
The council did not name the cause of the failures. The national warning system is working normally, and threat signals are passed to regional administrations and street sirens, the State Emergency Service stressed.
The evening before, the Air Force said that another app, Air Alert, had probably been subjected to enemy interference. The military stressed that there was no radiation threat.
As a reminder, businesses will get more time to set up shelters so they can keep working during yellow alerts.
