Builders of the Great Water Main in the Bucha community are laying the pipeline in the village of Blystavytsia and starting work on a pumping unit there. In time this will make it possible to connect the village to a central water supply.

Bucha mayor Anatolii Fedoruk announced this.

This project will improve the water supply of the whole Bucha community, both in the town and in the villages. So I ask people not to speculate about who it is being built for. It is for all residents of the community.

The water main will link Havrylivka, Lubianka, Myrotske, Blystavytsia, Bucha and Vorzel. The project includes about 20 kilometres of trunk pipeline, a new pumping station with tanks and iron removal, and a ring connection between the Bucha and Vorzel reservoirs.

By late September construction was half complete. At the same time councillors accepted a state subsidy of 134.5 million hryvnias for the community’s resilience plan, including to continue work on the water main.

As a reminder, in late September restoration minister Mykola Kalashnyk inspected the water main construction.
