Blystavytsia in the Bucha community has celebrated its Village Day. The celebration brought residents together to recall their shared history, mark the present and support one another.

This was reported by the Bucha City Council.

Residents were greeted by Deputy Mayor of Bucha Liudmyla Ryzhenko and village head Svitlana Mykysha. They presented letters of thanks to local volunteers and the parish priest, Father Vasyl, while a children’s group and soloists of the House of Culture entertained the audience.

Loud applause greeted the 100th birthday of Anna Mykolaivna Berloh, and other long-lived residents of the village were congratulated too.

Vasyl and Zinaida Trofymchuk were honoured on their golden wedding anniversary, and warm words were addressed to young families and newborn residents of Blystavytsia.

The deepest respect went to the defenders. Today 100 soldiers from Blystavytsia, six of them women, are defending Ukraine, and the community is waiting for three missing residents to return.
