The French region of Île-de-France, a partner of the Kyiv region, is ready to hand over a new batch of passenger buses, including for the Bucha community.

This was reported by the Bucha City Council.

The handover was discussed in Bucha on 29 October with Stéphane Beaudet, vice-president of the Île-de-France Regional Council and mayor of the French town of Évry-Courcouronnes. The council did not say how many buses the new batch will include or when they will arrive.

The community has already received nine buses from its French partners for the municipal company Buchatransservis. They were handed over with the assistance of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

During the visit, the guests inspected one of these buses. It already carries Buchatransservis livery with a Kyiv Region and Île-de-France Region sign, while the French signs inside remain next to the Ukrainian ones.

The community hopes to adopt French experience in organising public transport and to work with its partners on improving the local transport system.

As a reminder, in early September the Bucha community received five more passenger buses.
