Half of the work on the “Great Water Main” in the Bucha community has been completed. It will make it possible to supply people with good-quality drinking water more reliably.
This was announced by Bucha mayor Anatolii Fedoruk.
The water main will link Havrylivka, Lubianka, Myrotske, Blystavytsia, Bucha and Vorzel. The project has three parts:
- about 20 km of trunk water main;
- a new pumping station with reservoirs and iron-removal treatment;
- a ring connection between the Bucha and Vorzel reservoirs.
A few days ago the progress was inspected by Mykola Kalashnyk, Minister for Restoration, Infrastructure and Transport. Fedoruk thanked the government for its financial support of the project under the Resilience Plan.

On 24 September Bucha city council deputies accepted a state subsidy of 134.5 million hryvnias for the community’s Resilience Plan, including continued construction of the water main.

As a reminder, construction of the water main in the community began in late August. At the time the mayor warned that Lubianka would see the most disruption, as the main runs right through the village.
