Pupils at schools in the Irpin community go on autumn holidays from Monday, 26 October. The holidays will last a week.
This was reported by Irpin’s first deputy mayor Oleksandr Pashchynskyi.
The holidays will be used to finish preparing schools for the heating season and to keep classrooms at the right temperature. Heating has already been switched on in the community’s kindergartens.
All kindergartens and schools in the community have generators in case of power cuts. Nine educational facilities run solar power plants with a total capacity of more than 275 kW, and some also have energy storage systems.
“Our task is to do everything necessary so that after the holidays children return to study in warm classrooms,” Pashchynskyi stressed.
As a reminder, the neighbouring Bucha community has already started supplying heat to schools and kindergartens.
