The Cabinet of Ministers has changed the rules for using shelters in educational institutions. The new requirements apply to schools and kindergartens across the country, including in the Bucha area.

This follows from Cabinet of Ministers resolution No. 1288 of 15 October.

Kindergarten shelters are now used exclusively to protect participants in the educational process. Outsiders have no access to them.

In schools, during in-person classes, shelters are likewise available only to participants in the educational process. Children and other people can shelter there at the same time only by a decision of the local authorities and in the manner set by the school’s founder or head.

Before such a decision, a school must divide the shelter into zones for children and outsiders, restrict access to other rooms and put up signs. A list of shelters open to outsiders, with free places and opening hours, must be published officially.

The same resolution allows people to go to a shelter during curfew when the air raid alert sounds and to return home after the all-clear.

As a reminder, the director of a school shelter contractor in the Bucha district has been named a suspect.
