Kudrivka midfielder Ivan Petriak, whose club is based in Buzova in the Bucha district, was taken off the pitch by ambulance on Friday, 23 October, during the round 10 UPL match against Dynamo Kyiv. In the 39th minute he clashed heads with Dynamo defender Vladyslav Dubinchak.

This is stated in FC Dynamo’s match report.

Dubinchak went up for a header, played the ball and a moment later collided with Petriak. The Kudrivka player lost consciousness, was carried off on a stretcher and taken from the stadium by ambulance.

The club has not yet given a diagnosis. Kudrivka wrote that the team’s thoughts are with Ivan and his family and that they are praying everything will be fine.

Kudrivka lost the match 1–3. The hosts took the lead through a Bohdan Veklyak own goal in the 28th minute, and straight after the break Mykola Mykhailenko doubled it.

In the 65th minute the game was stopped because of an air raid alert in Kyiv. After the all-clear Kudrivka pulled one back when Dynamo defender Taras Mykhavko put the ball into his own net in the 68th minute. Oleksandr Pikhalonok set the final score in the 79th minute.

As a reminder, a week ago Kudrivka thrashed Bukovyna 4–1 for their first UPL win.
