The Siaivo Irpenia children’s arts festival and contest is being held in Irpin for the second time. More than 300 children from the community are showing their talents.

This was reported by Irpin’s first deputy mayor Oleksandr Pashchynskyi.

Participants compete in four categories: vocals, choreography, playing musical instruments and visual arts. The children perform modern dance, sing, play the bayan, guitar, sopilka and piano, and present drawings and decorative works.

Because of the security situation, the performances were held in the community’s shelters. An ITV report shows what it looked like.

It matters to me that our children have the chance to discover their abilities, try new things, go on stage, create and get support.

The winners will be announced on 10 October, Irpin City Day, as the city marks its 125th anniversary this year, Pashchynskyi said.

As a reminder, the Irpin art school held a concert ahead of Education Day.
