Cogeneration units with a total capacity of 25 MW have been installed at state and private sites in the Boyarka community. The next step is one more such unit and energy storage systems at critical infrastructure sites.

Boyarka City Council reported this.

Rooftop solar plants will be installed at three Boyarka academic lyceums and at schools and medical facilities in Tarasivka. Some buildings already combine solar panels, inverters and generators to keep backup power during outages.

One of the outpatient clinics already has a solar plant under the HEAL project, and other medical facilities run on battery systems. Social facilities have boilers running on alternative fuel, and resilience points have been set up there.

As a reminder, in the neighbouring Bucha community solar plants produce an average of 18.3 MWh of electricity a month.
