Internally displaced women who run their own business in the Kyiv region can take part in the grant programme Own Business Workshop: Advanced. Five participants will receive grants to develop their business.
This was reported by the Borodianka settlement council, citing the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.
The programme is open to displaced women raising children under 18 who have an operating business and live in Kyiv or the Kyiv region. Applications are accepted until 13 November inclusive via a registration form.
What participants will get
The programme includes practical work on developing and scaling the business, individual consultations and online mentoring. Participants will also be trained in financial planning and entering new markets.
A three-day offline training will be held in Kyiv on 26–28 November. Based on the results, five participants will be able to receive grants of up to 5,000 euros each, from which 18% personal income tax and 5% military levy will be withheld.
The programme is implemented with expert support from SiLab Ukraine. It is run by the Ukrainian Foundation for Child Well-being together with Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe and funded by the German Federal Foreign Office.
Who has won before
In October five entrepreneurs from the Kyiv region won the previous round of the programme. Their projects include a craft bakery, a family apiary, learning materials for children with special needs, a countryside retreat and a hair care studio.
Farmers, meanwhile, can apply for Buffett Foundation grants of up to 150,000 dollars, and small farms for up to 3,000 dollars.
As a reminder, in August displaced people in Bucha were told where to find money to start their own business.
