Households, farmers and agribusinesses in the Hostomel and Borodianka communities can receive grants from the Ukraine Agriculture Support Program (UASP). It is funded by the Howard G. Buffett Foundation and has already started in the Kyiv region.
This was reported by the Hostomel settlement military administration.
The programme is run by the humanitarian organisation Prosper Global. It aims to help local and displaced families, as well as agribusinesses affected by the war, restore their farms.
The Borodianka settlement council has also published information about the grants. It stresses that the programme covers the whole Kyiv region.
How much you can get
Households and smallholders farming up to 10 hectares can receive up to 3,000 dollars. Applications from them will be accepted from 1 November 2026 to 31 October 2027.
Small agribusinesses with up to 500 hectares can apply for a grant of up to 75,000 dollars, and medium-sized ones with 500 to 3,000 hectares for up to 150,000 dollars.
In both cases up to half of the project cost must be covered from the applicant’s own funds. Applications from agribusinesses are already open, so they can apply right now.
What you need to take part
Applicants must explain how the war has affected their farm and justify the need for support. They also need a business idea that will help restore their activity and experience of running a profitable farm.
Applications are submitted on the programme website. They are then assessed by specialists, contracts are signed with the selected participants, and after receiving the money they report on their spending. Selection is competitive, so applying does not guarantee support.
In the Kyiv region the programme is supported by the charitable foundation Pidtrymka Ahro, phone 067 347 84 87. The free Prosper Global hotline is 0 800 332 590.
Residents of the Hostomel community are also asked to fill in a short survey to choose a convenient format for an information meeting with programme representatives.
As a reminder, in late October businesses in the Kyiv region were invited to an online meeting on business loans.
