The Irpin community has directed over 153.3 million hryvnias to the Defence Forces since the start of 2026. That is more than in the whole of 2025, when 140 million hryvnias was allocated to the military.

Irpin’s first deputy mayor Oleksandr Pashchynskyi reported this.

Where else the money will go

The executive committee approved another 2.4 million hryvnias in subventions for military units. It approved 30 applications worth 860,000 hryvnias for treating service members, and added 149,700 hryvnias from the city budget for the Comrade’s Shoulder project.

Another 102 compensation applications worth 12.8 million hryvnias were approved for owners of property damaged in the 19 October strike. Under the local Turbota programme, 176 applications for material aid worth 3.6 million hryvnias were approved.

Over 14 million hryvnias will go on fuel for generators at municipal enterprises and institutions, and 10.2 million on partial compensation for backup power at 34 homeowners’ associations. Another 300,000 hryvnias was allocated for fire hydrants.

Because of the high number of requests, 996,000 hryvnias was added to the 1 million already allocated for firewood for veterans. Eight applications for veterans’ business projects were approved, worth 896,200 hryvnias.

The projects include a café with an Asian menu, a tango school, microgreens production and a children’s decor workshop. This year the competition was also opened to defenders’ wives, and three women submitted ideas.
