A social taxi for veterans and their families has been running in the Irpin community since the start of 2026. In that time 44 people have used it, and the taxi has made almost 300 trips in total.

This was announced by Irpin’s first deputy mayor Oleksandr Pashchynskyi.

Most often the taxi takes people to rehabilitation centres in Kyiv, the military hospital in Irpin, the Pushcha-Vodytsia sanatorium and the Sports Academy in Bucha.

The service is available to:

  • veterans and combat participants;
  • people disabled as a result of the war;
  • families of fallen Defenders of Ukraine;
  • internally displaced people;
  • families of the missing and of those released from captivity;
  • other categories set out in the service regulations.

The taxi is provided on application — up to five trips a month. Applications go to the Irpin Veteran Space centre: 5 Shevchenka St, Irpin, phone 098 733 94 22.

It matters to me that support for our Defenders is felt even in simple things that help a person through the hard road of recovery

As a reminder, a rehabilitation space for veterans opened at the Kyiv Regional Hospital, with adaptive sports and a golf club.
