The Hostomel community has received four hybrid solar stations and six diesel generators. The equipment is meant to help it get through a winter of power outages.

This was reported by the Hostomel settlement military administration. The equipment was handed over by the Partnership Fund for a Resilient Ukraine programme.

The solar stations are intended for the community’s critical infrastructure. They are to keep heating and healthcare facilities running without interruption.

The stations are fitted with solar panels with a capacity of 30 and 50 kilowatts.

The six generators will provide backup power for the community’s Points of Invincibility. They will also support the Centre for Social Services, the Inclusive Resource Centre and the Centre for Children’s and Youth Creativity.

The community says that international aid is helping it improve living conditions and support social institutions.

As a reminder, Irpin’s water utility received five more generators in early October.
