Sviatoslav Katan has become the new head of the education department of the Bucha City Council. Before the appointment he ran the Havrylivka general secondary school No. 8.

This was reported by Bucha City Council. Sviatoslav Katan graduated from Uman State Pedagogical University and holds a master’s degree in history.

He began his career in Bucha as a history teacher at Bucha Lyceum No. 5. He had headed the Havrylivka school No. 8 since 2022, according to the Bucha News newspaper.

The city council describes him as a proactive manager, open to modern approaches to teaching and new educational methods. According to the council, he knows how to unite teaching staff around common goals.

The council names the new head’s priorities as developing education in the community, supporting teachers and creating conditions in which every child can learn and develop their abilities.
