In the Borodianka community, Anker SOLIX F3800 power stations have been installed on the circulation pumps of heating systems with solid-fuel boilers. They were connected at the Borodianka Academic Lyceum, the Kazka kindergarten and the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Centre.
This was reported by Borodianka Settlement Council.
As Oleksandr Tyshchenko, chief engineer of the municipal heating company Borodiankateplopostachannia, explained, the stations will power the pumps during emergency blackouts. This is needed for emergency heat release and the safe operation of solid-fuel boilers.
Unlike a gas boiler, a solid-fuel boiler cannot be switched off with a button: the fuel in the firebox keeps burning even when the power goes out. If the pump stops, the coolant stops circulating and the excess heat has nowhere to go.
The community received the stations with the support of Chemonics Group UK Limited and the second phase of the Partnership Fund for a Resilient Ukraine. The programme is funded by the governments of the United Kingdom, Estonia, Canada, Norway, Finland, Switzerland and Sweden.
As a reminder, in October the Borodianka community received 10 Anker SOLIX F3800 power stations.
