Eighty-seven Nova Poshta parcel lockers in Irpin have been decorated with excerpts from poems about the town. The design uses 25 poems by 14 authors, both classics of Ukrainian literature and contemporary poets.
This was reported by first deputy mayor Oleksandr Pashchynskyi.
The lockers were decorated for Irpin’s 125th anniversary. Seven more will soon get poems, and all new lockers in the community will also have literary designs.
Photo: Irpin City CouncilLiterary parcel lockers started appearing in Irpin in 2024, and there are now 116 of them. In total the community has 469 parcel lockers, 157 of which are publicly accessible.
Irpin is called the capital of Ukrainian writing. Oleksandr Dovzhenko, Ostap Vyshnia, Pavlo Tychyna, Maksym Rylskyi, Oles Honchar and other classics lived and worked at the town’s Writers’ Creative House.
As a reminder, the tenth Painted Irpin plein air has just ended in the town.
