At the Andrii Kutsevalov Out-of-School Centre in Bucha, specialists held a hands-on session for children called “Healing with a Fairy Tale”. It is part of the “Toy Therapy Room” project, Bucha City Council reported.

The tale of Yarynka the hedgehog

The session is built around an interactive story about Yarynka, a little hedgehog. Through play, the children built a safe space and learned what to do during air-raid alerts.

The city council explains that this format helps children reduce anxiety, gently work through their fears and learn step-by-step actions they may need in danger.

When and how to join

Sessions will take place every Wednesday at 16:40 at the Andrii Kutsevalov Out-of-School Centre in Bucha. Anyone interested can attend free of charge.

In early September the centre announced enrolment in five therapy groups. At the time it said “Healing with a Fairy Tale” takes children aged eight and over, places are limited, and you can sign up by phone at 050-133-44-66.
