On Wednesday, 21 October, people in Bucha are saying farewell to fallen defender Roman Pashkin, a 42-year-old soldier. He was killed in battle on 26 March 2025 defending Ukraine and is now coming home for the last time.

This was reported by Bucha mayor Anatolii Fedoruk.

Russian aggression has already taken two lives from this family. In 2022, during the occupation of Bucha, Russian soldiers killed Roman’s mother, Liubov Pashkina. The only relative Roman has left is his uncle Oleh.

The farewell takes place today at 11:00 on the Alley of Heroes in Bucha, 1 Pamiati Street. The mayor asked residents to come and pay their last respects to the defender.
