The amateur ensemble Malvy from the village of Syniak has won an honorary award at the Starry Autumn in Petrivtsi patriotic song festival. The group represented the Syniak district of the Bucha community.

This was reported by Bucha City Council.

The festival took place on 26 September in the neighbouring Petrivska community in Vyshhorod district. As the local outlet Kyivske More wrote, the songs on stage were about Ukraine, the native land, its defenders, faith and resilience.

Choirs and song groups from different parts of the region shared one stage. The participants swapped repertoire, kept the Ukrainian song tradition alive and made new creative acquaintances.

To thank the hosts for their hospitality, Malvy presented the organisers with an exclusive emblem of their ensemble as a sign of friendship and a shared love of their native culture.

As a reminder, in August Malvy travelled almost 5,000 kilometres to perform at an international festival in Montenegro.
