On 30 September russian forces for the first time used a special warhead on a jet-powered drone: a shaped cutting charge known by its Ukrainian abbreviation KRSN. That same evening emergency power cuts hit the Bucha community.

This was reported by Serhii Beskrestnov (“Flash”), adviser to the President on the technological development of defence.

According to him, the warhead was designed specifically to destroy high-voltage pylons and steel bridge structures. It consists of a 40-kilogram main charge and four strike modules.

Beskrestnov believes the enemy is planning to attack important high-voltage power lines.

The same day a video of a strike on a power pylon was shared on social media.

On the evening of 30 September Ukrenergo introduced emergency power cuts in parts of Kyiv and the Kyiv, Chernihiv and Zhytomyr regions. The company said equipment had been overloaded after a russian strike.

As a reminder, overnight into 30 September russia launched a massive attack on the Kyiv region, and Bucha district was also hit.
