The Buchaservice municipal utility has replaced a submersible pump at one of its sites in Bucha and installed a new control cabinet with automation. It monitors the voltage around the clock and switches the pump off as soon as readings go beyond safe limits.

This was reported by Buchaservice.

For people a voltage surge is a second-long flicker of the lights. For a pump underground, repeated surges and dips mean an overheating motor and a shorter service life, the utility explains.

When a pump fails, pressure in the network drops and the water disappears, and the cause has to be found after the breakdown. Besides replacing the equipment, the workers carried out welding and installation work.

As a reminder, in September Bucha launched a solar plant with storage for the borehole in the Sklozavod district.
