FC Bucha Fortuna host Kyiv’s Tytan on Wednesday, 7 October, in the first leg of the Ukrainian Amateur Cup quarter-final. The game at the Yuvileinyi stadium in Bucha kicks off at 16:00.
This was reported by FC Bucha Fortuna.
The return leg is scheduled for 14 October. The aggregate score over two games will decide who goes through to the semi-final.
An opponent Bucha already know
This is the teams’ second meeting in 11 days. On 26 September, in Round 7 of the Kyiv region championship, Bucha led Tytan 2-1, but in the 67th minute an air raid alert stopped play for the second time and the rest of the game was postponed.
Vasyl Koropetskyi and Mykyta Sviderskyi scored for Bucha that day, Dmytro Shakun for the Kyiv side. Tytan’s main threat is striker Dmytro Voznyi, who had six league goals by the end of September.
Tytan only made their debut in the Kyiv region championship last year, but in the cup round of 16 they knocked out the reigning Ukrainian amateur champions, Ahrotekh from Tyshkivka. Tytan won the first leg of that tie 1-0 at home.
How Bucha reached the quarter-final
Bucha got past Rokyta from Poltava region only on penalties. They lost the first leg 1-0 away, and at home it was 3-2 after normal and extra time, 3-3 on aggregate, before Bucha won the shoot-out 4-2.
Newcomer Mykyta Dzen scored twice in that game on his debut for the team. Mykyta Makhynia added the third goal in extra time.
