Anna Arkhypska from Irpin has won the 2026 aeromodelling World Cup on the total of all stages. She took the title of strongest junior in the F1E class and topped the world rankings.
This was reported by Irpin City Council, citing the Youth and Sports Department of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.
The final, ninth stage of the World Cup, the Otto Kuttler Cup, was moved from Germany to Volterra in Italy because of the weather. There Anna finished ahead of rivals from Italy and France.
In the individual standings she won three golds: among juniors, women and seniors. Anna collected points for the season’s main trophy throughout 2026 across the nine World Cup stages.
Arkhypska is the only athlete in the Kyiv region who competes in aeromodelling in the F1E class. It features free-flight glider models launched from a hillside.
As a reminder, karate athletes from Irpin’s Sanchin brought eight gold medals home from Romania.
