The warhead of the downed Shahed that fell in the Irpin community on 28 September was packed with metal balls by russian forces. In the video from the crash site they are shown in cupped hands.

This was reported by Irpin’s first deputy mayor Oleksandr Pashchynskyi.

Once again, the enemy’s cynicism is striking. The warhead of this Shahed was packed with metal balls to cause additional fragmentation damage.

The downed drone fell in an uninhabited part of the community. The impact left a crater and set about a hectare of open ground on fire. Nobody was hurt.

Staff of the Municipal Guard, the emergency service and the police worked at the site to deal with the aftermath.

Pashchynskyi urged residents not to ignore air raid alerts: go to a shelter straight away and stay there until the danger is over.

Debris left after attacks must not be touched or taken away, even if it looks safe. Move to a safe distance and call the emergency service on 101, the police on 102 or the Municipal Guard on (073) 070-05-57 or (068) 379-92-27.

Dangerous finds also turn up in the community’s forests. Missile debris was found in the Zabuchchia forest last weekend, so in mushroom season Pashchynskyi advises keeping away from suspicious objects.

As a reminder, on the evening of 28 September two people were pulled from the rubble after a drone strike in Bucha district.
