A pharmacy has opened in Babyntsi, a settlement of the Bucha community — the first one there. It is located at 45 Nezlamnosti Street, opposite the starosta's office.

The opening was reported by Bucha City Council.

Why this is more than a shop

Until now residents of Babyntsi had to travel to neighbouring settlements for medicine. Now they can buy what they need close to home, without spending time on the journey.

In a settlement with many older residents this is a question of access rather than convenience: when medicine is needed urgently, a trip to the next village can be an insurmountable obstacle.

How it works

The pharmacy is open daily from 8:00 to 21:00, so it can be reached both early in the morning and after work. It is a branch of the Bazhaiemo Zdorovia chain.

The city council calls the arrival of a pharmacy a step towards developing the community's social infrastructure.
