Today, 3 October, at 11:00 Bucha will hold the Voices of Silence peaceful rally in support of prisoners of war and people missing in action. Participants will gather near the Varshavska highway, next to the NOVUS store at 104-D Kyievo-Myrotska Street.
This was reported by Bucha City Council.
“Behind every prisoner and every missing person there is a family that is waiting. Their names must be heard, and the return of our defenders must stay in focus,” the organisers say.
At the previous rally, on 19 September, Bucha remembered 188 residents. According to the city council, 148 people from the community are missing, including 21 civilians.
Another 40 soldiers and civilians are in russian captivity, including 32 residents forcibly deported by the occupiers in spring 2022.
Back then participants unfolded a large flag with photos of residents awaited at home, holding the rally in a short break between air raid alerts.
As a reminder, in early September Voices of Silence in Bucha already brought together families of prisoners and the missing.
