Emergency outages cut power to part of Bucha district on the evening of 8 October. They were introduced after an enemy attack on energy facilities in Kyiv region.
This was reported by the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, citing DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids.
Besides Bucha district, emergency outages are in place in Fastiv and Obukhiv districts. In other districts of the region, power may be switched back on later than scheduled, the energy company warns.
Energy workers are already working to improve the situation and restore power as soon as possible. The same notice was posted on the DTEK website, where residents can check current outages at their address.
Because Kyivvodokanal facilities lost power, the intake of wastewater from the Borshchahivka community was also suspended in the evening, leaving part of the community without water. Water supply there is now gradually being restored, the village council said.
As a reminder, emergency power outages were already introduced in the Bucha area on the morning of 8 October.
