In Borodianka a major overhaul of the nine-storey residential building at 4 Semashka Street is under way. It was damaged at the start of russia’s full-scale invasion, and its 70 flats are now being restored.

This was reported by the Agency for Restoration.

Work on site is now focused on repairing and finishing the common areas. In particular, floor tiles are being laid on the landings and in the corridors.

Earlier the facade and plinth were insulated and finished and the basement was repaired. New windows and balcony units were installed, the entrance and vestibule doors were replaced, the entrance area was repaired and a drainage system was fitted.

Still ahead are new lift equipment, a solar power station and landscaping of the surrounding area.

Under the project, the building will also be adapted for people with disabilities and other people with limited mobility so that it is barrier-free.

As a reminder, on Tsentralna Street in Borodianka, where a bomb fell in March 2022, a new nine-storey block for 105 families is going up.
