In a single day the Ukrainian Amateur Cup turned two Kyiv-region stories into two opposite ones. Tytan in Kyiv did what few expected from last season's debutant of the regional championship: it stopped the reigning champion of Ukraine. Bucha Fortuna, in Poltava region, conceded in the 78th minute and now has to repay the debt at home. Both ties stand at a one-goal margin, and both will be settled on 23 September. Here is how it happened, what the arithmetic says and where the chances really lie.
Tytan v Agrotekh: how it happened
The first leg was played on 16 September at 13:00 at the Zmina sports school stadium in Kyiv and ended 1:0 (0:0). The only goal came in the 68th minute from Shakun, as recorded in the final results post of the Association of Amateur Football of Ukraine.
As the Kyiv Regional Football Association reported, the winner in the middle of the second half was scored by holding midfielder Dmytro Shakun, and in KOAF's assessment the Kyiv side "played a very good match, outplayed the titled opponent and created plenty of chances".
The weight of the result lies not in the score but in who was beaten. Agrotekh from Tyshkivka is the reigning amateur champion of Ukraine, and the 2025/26 title is not its first: according to the UAF, the club was also champion in 2024/25, and that same season, according to the AAFU list of winners, it lifted the Cup too, beating Mayak of Sarny 1:0 in the final. For Tytan, which only made its Kyiv-region championship debut last year, this is the loudest win in the club's short history.
There is context that makes it even more painful for the champion. Four days before Kyiv, on 12 September, Agrotekh lost 3:5 at home to Budivelnyk of Kremenchuk after leading 3:0 by the fortieth minute: the round-four match report of the AAFU championship records a goal by Surzhenko and a brace by Zahalskyi, after which the hosts conceded five. Two defeats in four days for a team used to winning finals is not a statistical footnote but a signal: the champion is vulnerable right now. And right now Tytan is on its way.
Rokyta v Fortuna: what one strike decided
The match at Arena Rokyta kicked off at 14:00 and also ended 1:0 (0:0), Misiailo scoring in the 78th minute. Our report from Poltava region has the key moments: Danylo Kislov's clear-cut chance cleared off the line by Serhii Dvornyk; Horbachenko's injury in the first fifteen minutes; a red card for a member of the Bucha coaching staff late on. The only goal was scored by a substitute, Andrii Misiailo, from a pass by Volodymyr Samburskyi, as KOAF specifies.
The Kyiv Regional Association judged the game relatively even, and that is exactly what makes the result so frustrating: in a match like that, a one-goal away defeat is not a verdict but a score that leaves everything to be decided at Yuvileinyi. But there is a detail Volodymyr Bondarenko's staff cannot afford to ignore: Vitalii Halymurza's Rokyta played without goalkeeper Kanibolotskyi and striker Darda. The visitors' full line-up in Bucha may turn out to be stronger than the one that won the first leg.

Five of the eight ties were settled by a single goal, one ended in a draw, and only Kolos and Budivelnyk made a serious statement at home. Mayak of Sarny stands out: a finalist in the last two editions of the Cup, it lost at home to an own goal. So does FC Mykolaiv of Lviv region, the same club that took the Cup from Shturm of Ivankiv in 2023/24 after two draws, 2:2 and 1:1. And the Budivelnyk that scored three against Real Farma had put five past the champion four days earlier.
The arithmetic of the return legs
The second legs are on 23 September at the grounds of the teams named second in each tie; only Real Farma hosts Budivelnyk on 30 September, as shown in the bracket on the AAFU website. The base dates for the quarter-finals are 7 and 14 October.

An aggregate tie moves the pairing into the territory of the regulations, so the simplest route for both Kyiv-region clubs does not depend on interpretation. Tytan needs only a draw in Tyshkivka, even a goalless one. Fortuna needs a two-goal win at Yuvileinyi, and any goal conceded automatically raises the bar to three scored. That is the difference between holding on and breaking through, and it dictates how both teams must approach the game.
Who the opponents are
Agrotekh was founded in 2010; the club president is Serhii Saus. According to the club profile on the AAFU website, its home ground is the Tyshkivka Lyceum stadium, holding up to 400 spectators; the club was champion of Kirovohrad region three years running, in 2023, 2024 and 2025. This is not a team used to losing twice in a row, which is why the return in Tyshkivka will be Tytan's hardest away trip of the season: a small ground, home stands and a champion with something to prove.
Rokyta of Poltava region, coached by Vitalii Halymurza, won the first leg without goalkeeper Kanibolotskyi and striker Darda, and produced the only goal from the bench through substitute Misiailo. A team that knows how to wait for its moment and take it with one strike is the most awkward kind of opponent for a side that has to push forward and score twice.
What form says
Tytan was founded by patron Dmytro Zelinskyi and is coached by 43-year-old Oleksandr Rozhon, who, according to KOAF publications, has been named Coach of the Round in the Kyiv Region Open Championship. The Kyiv side finished its debut season last year as regional runner-up. In the current Kyiv Region Premier League table Tytan sits second: 12 points from six matches, four wins and two defeats, goal difference 19:5. On 12 September the Kyiv side won 2:0 away at Sokil, and four days later stopped the champion of Ukraine.
Bucha Fortuna is fifth in the league with 9 points from five games, 12:6 on goals, with a game in hand. Its August-September run has been a see-saw: 4:1 away at Yuriiv, 0:1 at home to Denhoff, 3:0 at Sokil, 4:0 at home to Kolos, then 1:4 against leaders Kalynivka and 0:1 in Rokyta. Its last two games were against the regional leaders and against a side that had beaten the champions of Ukraine a week earlier — and in Rokyta Bucha lost by the narrowest margin in an even game, which is exactly why an open return leg at home can be expected.
But there is another side. In the Cup, Bucha has already come through a two-legged tie with confidence: 2:1 at home to Odesa's To4ka and 5:0 in Odesa, where all five goals came in the second half. A goal difference of 12:6 in the league says the attack exists, and Kislov's clear-cut chance and Dvornyk's goal-line save in Rokyta say it exists against this opponent too. And one more thing: on 26 September, three days after the Cup return legs, Tytan and Fortuna meet each other in round seven of the championship, in Kyiv.
Our verdict
Tytan is the favourite of the tie, but not an overwhelming one. In its favour: the score, a convincing first-leg performance and two consecutive blows to the champion's confidence. Against it: Tyshkivka, where Agrotekh has not surrendered the regional title in three years, and the class of a team that has won both the championship and the Cup. Our verdict: the Kyiv side's chances are a little better than even; the key is not to concede the first goal, because after it the advantage evaporates, and nobody can play for a draw for ninety minutes on a small pitch.
Fortuna's tie with Rokyta is open. In Bucha's favour: home advantage at Yuvileinyi, a proven ability to score in bursts (five goals in one half in Odesa) and an even game in Rokyta, where the hosts were saved on the goal line. The task is clear — win by two — and it is within this team's reach: in this Cup it has already scored more than that in a single evening. Our verdict: the first half will decide it. An early goal and Rokyta, playing their fourth match in two weeks, will have to open up — and that is exactly the kind of game in which Fortuna is at its best.
History says Kyiv region knows how to win this competition: according to the list of AAFU Cup winners, it was lifted by Irpin of Horenychi in 2008, FC Bucha in 2011, Chaika in 2013 and in 2016/17, Avanhard of Bziv in 2018/19 and Druzhba of Myrivka in 2022/23, while Shturm of Ivankiv reached the final in 2023/24.
Back in 2011 FC Bucha dealt with Hvardiiets of Crimea 3:1 and 4:1; today's Fortuna, founded in 2020, is a different club, but the town is the same. For that history to continue, on 23 September Kyiv region has to win both halves of the evening: one in Tyshkivka, the other in Bucha.
As a reminder, Bucha Fortuna lost 0:1 to Rokyta in the first leg of the Ukrainian Cup round of 16, and the return leg takes place on Wednesday 23 September at the Yuvileinyi stadium in Bucha. The round-of-16 ties, including Tytan v Agrotekh, were set by the draw on 4 September.
