In Irpin work has begun on documents to attract financing from the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation NEFCO for two more sewerage facilities. This was agreed during a visit by EU representatives and NEFCO senior programme manager Henrik Toremark.

The guests inspected two projects already under way in the community. The first is the modernisation of water supply and sewerage networks and the reconstruction of boiler houses at 25 9-ta Liniia Street, 2 Severynivska Street and 20-A Mykhailivska Street. Most of the work has been completed.
The second project covers demolishing destroyed buildings and recycling construction waste. For it the community received 22 units of special and heavy machinery and crushing and sorting equipment worth €5,755,000 in total.
Photo: Irpin City CouncilThe practical stage began in August on the site of the former Lastivka camp. A new school for 1,500 pupils is planned there later.
Next the community will prepare documents for building a sewage pumping station on Tekhnolohichna Street and for reconstructing pumping station No. 33 on Rohovenka Street and pressure sewers in Mykhailivka-Rubezhivka.

As a reminder, Irpin signed a memorandum of cooperation with the 33rd Separate Assault Regiment.
