A warehouse building has caught fire in the Bucha district after an attack by russian strike drones. Rescuers of the State Emergency Service are working at the scene.

This was reported by the Kyiv regional military administration.

What is known so far

Updated at 23:29. The regional authorities issued a separate statement, because videos of the fire were spreading online. It says: "To avoid unnecessary speculation and panic: as a result of the enemy attack a civilian warehouse caught fire".

The same statement says the situation is under control, rescuers and all necessary services are working at the scene, and according to preliminary information there are no casualties. In other words, the death mentioned in the evening regional summary is not connected to this fire.

Updated at 22:52. As of 22:50 the fire at the warehouse premises in the Bucha district had not yet been put out — rescuers are still working. This was reported by the head of the Kyiv regional military administration, Tymur Tkachenko.

According to his summary, 17 sites were damaged during the day in the Bucha, Fastiv and Obukhiv districts: private houses, vehicles, warehouse and production premises, a hangar and a veterinary clinic.

One person was killed in the Kyiv region and two more were injured. Tkachenko offered condolences to the family of the man who died. The administration did not specify in which district this happened — the summary covers the three districts together, so there are no grounds to link the death to the fire in the Bucha district.

Updated at 21:28. At 21:26 the air-raid alert in the Bucha district was called off — confirmed by the regional administration, the Kyiv regional police and the Bucha city council. There is still no new official information about the fire itself, its size or possible casualties.

Updated at 20:58. The regional administration has still given no figures for the area of the fire or for casualties. At 20:54 an air-raid alert was declared again in the Bucha district — yellow level, drone threat. There has been no all-clear as of this time.

The administration has not stated the area of the fire. Information about people killed or injured is, in their words, being established.

The air-raid alert in the Bucha district was called off at 19:07 — earlier than the report of the fire came in.

The administration asks people to stay in shelters or other safe places during an alert.

A third day of attacks in a row

This morning the head of the Kyiv regional military administration, Tymur Tkachenko, reported that three people had been injured in enemy attacks in the region over the previous day. The heaviest damage at that point was recorded in the Fastiv and Bucha districts.

Earlier we reported that on 8 September drones already struck the Bucha district, setting warehouse premises alight.
