School buses in the Bucha community do not run while an air raid alert is on. All children must be in shelters during that time — that rule stays unchanged.

The Bucha city council announced the arrangements.

In Bucha itself the buses reach the stops within 25 to 30 minutes after the all-clear and take pupils to their schools.

In the community’s rural districts the timing is set by each school’s own algorithm, and pupils and parents are informed about it individually.

The arrangement applies when the school has not cancelled in-person classes. If an alert drags on, lessons may move online — the decision and the exact information come from the school administration.

"We take care of the children’s safety and provide comfortable transport in any conditions," the council said.

As a reminder, the school year in the community began without the traditional assemblies.
