A roundabout has been completed at the junction of Tiachivska and Kyievo-Myrotska streets in Bucha. Another of the town’s junctions has become safer and more convenient for drivers and pedestrians.

Bucha mayor Anatolii Fedoruk reported this on Facebook.

The main obstacles at the junction were a power pole and a fence that got in the way of normal traffic. They have finally been moved, and a roundabout has replaced the ordinary crossroads.

Signs warning drivers about the new layout have been put up on the approaches to the junction, so extra care is needed in the first days.

Fedoruk explained straight away how the works fit into the current austerity regime: they began back in June, before the current limits on such spending.

The city budget’s capacity is limited as it is, but Bucha City Council keeps looking for resources to gradually make the community safer and more comfortable for people

As a reminder, Fedoruk stood up for community budgets, whose payments are currently being held, at a meeting with the Prime Minister.
