Four pupils of Bucha Lyceum No. 4 have completed the national summer school in literary criticism run by the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

This was reported by Bucha City Council.

The course was completed by Sofiia Horlach, Kateryna Chaika, Sofiia Stryhun and Ivan Zdor, together with their teacher Nataliia Kot.

Literary criticism teaches pupils not to retell a text but to take it apart: to argue an assessment, to spot a device, to tell intent from execution.

The Junior Academy of Sciences is a nationwide system of out-of-school education through which pupils move on to their own research.

The skills gained will be a foundation for future research and professional work, the community noted.

Bucha City Council said it is proud of young people who keep studying even during the summer holidays.

As a reminder, eight education institutions in the Bucha district received their licences.
