It is hard to find anyone in Ukraine who doesn't know the NAONI Orchestra. And anyone who has been to one of their performances knows how unique this ensemble is.
NAONI means unique instruments that are not heard in this combination in any other music project in the world, and in the hands of true virtuosos they create a mesmerising palette of sound!
The orchestra has won the “Battle of the Orchestras” seven times, and over the past few years, under artistic director Viktor Hutsal, its musical experiments have become ever more interesting, bold and innovative. Together with artists from contemporary genres and top performers, the orchestra has played joint concerts with many stars of the Ukrainian stage, including ONUKA, Oleh Skrypka, Ruslana, Jamala, Artem Pyvovarov, Druha Rika, Mad Heads, KozakSystem and others.
Now imagine the orchestral sound of music from famous world film hits with the sounds of the drymba and ocarina, tsymbaly and bandura, trembita and sopilka…
Now multiply that by 40 musicians who play the themes from “Harry Potter”, “Once Upon a Time in America”, “The Godfather”, “Game of Thrones” and the “Imperial March” from “Star Wars” with a distinctly Ukrainian sound identity in an incredible orchestral palette!
